The silent auction and dinner were great. I do not have the final total yet. My husband was "sold" for $85 to do some work for an older couple. All of the kids and adults participating were sold for at least $60 a piece I think, a couple of them were sold for $125 and $150 each. The silent auction items went well also and the donation boxes for the dinner were pretty full. All this to say...I do believe it was a success! This was only the second year to have a silent auction and dinner at our church and the attendance was definitely double last year's. That in and of itself is promising for future fundraisers of this sort. On top of it all, it was a great time of fellowship, which we have been lacking in our church family.
On another note...I had planned to post a tutorial for some frugal maternity skirts as well as a picture or two from the auction, but am having a little trouble getting it posted. Hopefully, it will be up tomorrow! I have some other "pantry" related posts brewing as well. Who knows...maybe this will be the week of prolific posting here at the pantry!
